German and English scientists have found a threat to humans in the washing machine, more precisely in the "Eco" mode. As you know, “eco-wash” or “eco-mode” allows users to wash clothes as quickly as possible by reducing the cycle time or lowering the water temperature (depending on the functionality of the washing machine itself). But scientists say that it is unsafe for health. How do they argue for this?
It turns out that not so long ago, in one of the medical institutions, scientists accidentally stumbled upon an unpleasant find: bacteria Klebsiella oxytoca were found in the powder cuvette and on the manhole cuff. Scientists said that these bacteria can cause many serious diseases, such as colitis, problems with the urinary tract and even damage to the oral mucosa.
In the course of research, scientists found that the medical staff of the institution washed clothes in the “Eco” mode with minimal heating of the water. Of course, many bacteria, including the dangerous Klebsiella oxytoca, remained completely invulnerable and calmly “survived” after washing.
How could the paramedics make such a mistake is incomprehensible. Indeed, even people without a medical education know that bacteria die at the highest temperatures or, conversely, at low temperatures.
Everyone who prefers economical washing modes, scientists strongly recommend not to abuse them. And bedding and underwear should be washed in a mode that involves heating the water at least 90 degrees. Only in this way will you protect yourself and your loved ones from possible dangerous bacteria.
