The main problem when installing modern washing machines outside cities is the lack of a normal water supply. There is either no water supply at all, or the water pressure is too small for automatic washers to work. We will find out what automatic machines for rural areas are offered by manufacturers and whether it is possible to organize comfortable washing in the village at all.
How to organize washing in the village?
To take advantage of automatic washing machines (AGR), you must have the appropriate benefits of civilization in your home:
- electricity;
- water supply with good pressure;
- sewer drain.
With electricity in the villages, everything is fine, sewerage can be done - the problem is small, but as for the water supply system, everything is more complicated. Most villages do not have a water supply network, but even if there is one, the pressure in it is not enough for the normal functioning of the AGR. The issue of organizing washing in the country or in a country house has several solutions, we will try to find the best.
Village washing machines
For rural areas, you can use washing machines:
- Semi-automatic. If you have a house without running water, a semi-automatic machine becomes a good solution. The liquid is poured into the tank from above - with a bucket or hose from some large capacity. The disadvantage of such machines is the need for human control. It is necessary to fill in the water, drain, rinse, squeeze.
- Mini-washers. Small cars for giving - “Slavda”, “Fairy”, “Rainbow” and the like, are suitable for those who wash a little and have problems with water. These washers allow you to wash clothes without being connected to a water supply, while they spend very little water. The capabilities of these machines are limited, their load is only 2-3 kg.
- SMA. Ordinary or with a tank. True, in the first case, you have to tinker to organize water supply. For houses without water supply, the second option is more suitable.
Automatic washing machines in the village
If there is water supply in the village, the installation of an automatic washing machine becomes quite real. The main thing is that the pressure meets the requirements of the technical conditions for the operation of the device. Usually it is possible to use the most undemanding and simple devices designed for 3.5 kg and with a minimum speed of 600-800 revolutions per minute.
In principle, the lack of water supply is not an obstacle to the use of automatic washers. For correct operation, cars without a tank require a water supply, and how it is organized is completely unimportant to the machine. If there is a well with a submersible pump, then water supply can be arranged. The most difficult thing in connecting the SMA to the water is ensuring the right pressure.
If there is no running water?
The washing device is connected to a well, well, or other autonomous source. Water is supplied through a pump. In principle, the role of a source can be played by an ordinary water tank.
Connection order:
- Need a barrel of 100 liters and a stool 0.5 m high.
- A hole with a diameter of 5 cm is drilled in a stool.
- A hole is also drilled in the bottom of the barrel. Its diameter should correspond to the external thread of the ball valve.
- A valve fitting is attached to the bottom of the barrel, and it is pressed with a lock nut thrown inside onto the thread.
- The barrel is placed on a stool, the valve is passed into the hole drilled in the stool.
- Check the tightness of the barrel. If there is a leak, add silicone under the locknut.
- They take a pump - the most common one - and solder wires 1.5 m long to the power terminals.
- They open the case, study the electrical circuits, find a check valve that controls the fluid inlet.
- SMA, as a rule, is connected to the water supply system through a normally closed solenoid valve that does not allow liquid to pass through until electricity is supplied to the terminals. The pump leads are connected to the wires leading to the valve - the locking device turns into a control relay. Then solder the wires from the pump to the valve terminals. The housing is closed and plugged in.
You don’t have to do this if you buy an SMA, to which a “barrel” is already attached. Such models are present in small quantities on the Russian market.
SMA with tank
AGR with an additional water tank works exactly the same as conventional models. A tank attached to the hull is the only difference between “for the village” cars. However, their use is not limited to the private sector, such devices are often installed on the last floors of high-rise buildings, in which there is a lack of pressure.
The appearance and internal design of the models with the tank are the same as those of conventional analogues. If you unhook the tank, then the washing machine will take on the most ordinary look. It is mounted on the side or on the back wall; its capacity is 65–100 l. There is enough water for several washes.
Features of work:
- Download - only the front.
- The tank volume is enough, depending on the selected mode, for 1-2 cycles.
- Liquid is automatically or manually supplied to the tank.
- The device collects liquid in the same way as devices connected to a centralized water supply do.
- If there is not enough water to continue the cycle, the device signals this - the user adds water, and this can be done during the cycle.
- Drainage is made through the drain hose. Where to connect it is up to the user. You can drain water into the sewer network, and if there is none, into any container of a suitable volume.
How to start?
To start the AGR working without connecting to the water supply system, it is necessary to perform a number of actions:
- Make sure that the AGR is on a level surface.
- Check that the outlet is working and connect the device to it.
- First run idle - no laundry.
- Add detergent, load laundry, and draw water. And it doesn’t matter how you fill the tank - either manually or from the water supply. If there is a built-in pump, the device will take the necessary volume of liquid - 90-100 l. Now you can turn on the device.
Pros and cons
Advantages of SMA with tanks:
- Allows to wash "in a city" in the village. It is not necessary to manually fill and drain the water, squeeze out the laundry with your hands or transfer it to a centrifuge.
- No centralized water supply required.
- You can wash clothes for any problems with water, which is why these machines can also be installed in city apartments - in case of interruptions in water.
- Economical energy and water consumption. The user has the ability to control the water bay. If the quantity supplied is insufficient, the device will signal that an additional portion is needed.
- Many programs and modes.
Disadvantages:
- Big dimensions. This is especially true for small-sized apartments and small private houses - a lot of space needs to be allocated for the apparatus.
- There are models in which the tank does not disconnect. Even if the owner no longer needs it, you can no longer remove it. This must be taken into account when installing the machine, or choose a universal model that can work with both the tank and the water supply.
- You have to control the amount of fluid in the tank and add it as needed.
What technology?
Gorenje with a tank, as well as other machines, has enough technical capabilities for high-quality washing. Along with the usual technical solutions, they also have features that distinguish them from competitors.
Technologies and technical solutions used in Gorenje:
- The surface of the drum is combed. With the help of ridges trapped fluid from the bottom. This solution - “Shower system” improves the quality of washing.
- UseLogic - provides minimal water consumption. Sensors monitor the purity of the water, determining whether additional rinsing is needed. For each cycle, the optimal volume of liquid is calculated - taking into account the weight of the laundry loaded in the drum.
- NickelHeater - durable TEN. It has a smooth nickel-plated surface. Scale on it forms less actively.
- Balancing control system - for even distribution of laundry on the drum. As soon as an imbalance appears, the motor stops and then starts to rotate in the opposite direction.
How to choose an AGR with a tank?
When choosing a suitable model, pay attention to such characteristics:
- Sizes. For a spacious room, you can take the option with a side arrangement of the tank. With a shortage of space, modifications are more suitable in which the additional capacity is adapted at the rear.
- Volume. From 50 to 100 liters. The larger the capacity, the better - less often it will have to be filled.
- Energy class. The optimum value is class A and higher.
- Water consumption. 9.2–9.3 thousand liters per year.
- The presence of a filler valve. This element is necessary to prevent overflow - but not all models have it.
- Spin speed. Up to 1000 rpm The best option is a modification with a choice of spin speed.
- Loading. From 6 to 7 kg.

Minuses:
- Low spin class - the laundry will remain partially wet.
On a note! Perhaps the manufacturers did not specifically focus on the spin cycle, because the machine is designed primarily for villages, where linen is often dried in the fresh air, and the residual moisture does not play a special role.
W 64Z02 / SRIV - narrow
This narrow machine, like the previous model, has a removable cover for embedding. But her tank is attached not from the side, but from the back. The control panel has a digital display and a rotary knob for switching modes. This version is suitable for families with children - an appropriate lock is provided. There is a timer that allows you to delay the start for up to 24 hours. The hatch can open 180 degrees - this simplifies the laying of linen. Reservoir - 65 l.
- Capacity: 6 kg.
- Drying: no.
- Water consumption: 51 l per cycle.
- Spin speed: 1000 rpm.
- Number of programs: 23 pcs. (including washing of delicate fabrics, for sportswear, quick, preliminary).
- Energy Efficiency Class: A ++.
- Classes of washing / spin: A / C.
- Safety: partial leakage protection, protection against children, control of imbalance and foam level.
- Noise level (wash / spin): 56/68 dB.
- Dimensions (WxDxH): 60x44x85 cm.
- Weight: 69 kg.
Benefits:
- Qualitatively removes dirt.
- When connected to a water supply, it operates at low pressure. The user connected the tank to the village water supply with a pressure of 2 liters per minute. The tank is slowly filled through the hose, and then the washer pumps into the drum as needed.
- There is a control of the liquid level in the tank.
- Compared with the side mount of the tank more convenient dimensions.
- There is a quick wash for 17 minutes.
- There is an anti-allergy regimen.
- Silent work.
Disadvantages:
- A lot of extra programs. Users note that they use 4-5 pieces, no more.
Expert opinion. Users will not please. If there were 5 programs, they would certainly write that there are too few. So this is not a disadvantage.
One user notes that after three years of operation, the pump broke. The master, who completed the repair, said that he would work the same amount. For modern technology, 6–7 years of service is not so bad. This model for many rural residents, especially pensioners, has become a real gift - finally you can qualitatively rub all the linen in the house without making any effort.
This relatively inexpensive model is designed for a small wash - drum loading of only 6 kg. Compared to the previous version, the W 64Z02 / SRIV has very limited capabilities. Capacity will have to be filled more often, and less to load laundry. But there is a display and a child lock, which is not observed in the previous modification.
LG F-2J6WS0W - Surge Protected
The model is equipped with protection against power surges - what you need if there is a problem with this in your village or country co-op. The only minus of this functionality is that when the power surge occurs, the machine will stop working and wait for the voltage to normalize in the network. But then its electronics will be reliably protected from breakdowns.
Specifications:
- Capacity: 6.5 kg.
- Spin speed: up to 1200 rpm.
- Number of programs: 14 pcs. (including Delicate, Economic, Night, Black things, Mixed fabrics and others).

- Classes of washing / spin: A / B.
- Safety: protection against leaks, blocking from children, control of imbalance and foam level.
- Dimensions (WxDxH): 60x45x85 cm.
- Noise level (wash / spin) - 56 / 74dB.
- Additionally: hypoallergenic washing, the possibility of reloading linen.
Pros:
- Compact and roomy.
- Weight of 63 kg does not allow the machine to "run away" from a place at an extraction at high speeds.
- Steam washing.
- Stylish design.
- The big hatch.
- Silent work.
- It is possible to create your own program (but it is not saved).
- Collapsible (maintainable) tank.
- Adjusting the temperature from 20 to 95 degrees, the spin from 400 to 1200.
- It is completed with a hose with the filter of rough cleaning.

- Models of the Russian assembly are not the highest quality.
- There is water in the gum.
- No backlight touch keys, poorly read.
- Instructions for the entire line, not this particular model.
- NFC only works at close range.
Conclusions
To summarize:
- The best solution to the issue of washing in the village is the Gorenie model with tanks.
- An additional tank can be filled with water - well, rain, etc.
- The lack of water supply is not a reason for abandoning the AGR.
- Users from the village thanks to washers with extra capacity are spared from unnecessary fuss with linen.
The problem of washing in the village is best solved by the AGR from Gorenie. Today it is the easiest and most effective way to wash clothes in a quality manner. The process differs in only one step - the collection of water in the tank.
